Thank you Paul!

This morning I woke up to a friendly voice on the phone, saying: "Everyone on the street has this beautiful sign, I want one too!"

We owe these beautiful lawn signs to Paul from Screen Tek. Upon hearing about our cause, he not only gave us an unparalleled low price, he came in to the office on Sunday early morning to take our order. He rushed through the order, we got the signs on Tuesday morning(!) instead of the usual one week processing. To top it all, he threw in a couple of extra signs, adding: "There are more important things in life than money." Thank you Paul!

P.S. There are a few more lawn signs still available.

I would like to get a sign too!I am on the "other side" of the bridge-- the word needs to be spread over here as well. Who should I contact? Feel free to call me at 203-988-8244.

Maybe you could consider posting a contact link?

Thank you David for your useful suggestion. The link for communication has been added. Just click on the word "available" at the end.

What a bunch of crap. A few people who live near the bridge want to limit traffic on the street for their own selfish reasons, so they start a blog and get a few ridiculous signs made, and attempt to stop something which is really needed.
Another case of "Not In My Backyard".

Allan,

Having a different opinion is good. But why use foul language? And how, pray, rejecting a 40 ton capacity bridge on Waite street is "selfish"?

Yes, Allan. What purpose does a higher-capacity bridge serve? Maybe it will shave 2 seconds off of a morning commute since you'll be able to go so much faster now.

The benefits of a 40-ton capacity bridge over a well-designed comparable replacement don't out-weigh the negative impacts. There are plenty of available cut-through routes for larger trucks now. Making this another one is just going to increase the traffic even more. And there is no mention of plans to increase the safety along Waite leading up to the bridge.

Maybe the wider bridge is a better idea for safety, but the extra road-deck space could be used for a pedestrian/bike way and give the ability for a nice overlook into that beautiful area. There are so many options besides an ugly lump of concrete. Not only are our tax dollars paying for it, but we have to live with it.

Apparently Allan doesn't live in this area. It's also obvious that he's narrow minded and doesn't have a thought about anyone but himself.
